The Year the Machine Learned to Sing Shona
In March I called Winky D's AI video win a farce. I was wrong about the word. It was not a farce, it was a preview. Three months later the number one street song is AI, a trending gospel hit is AI, and the king himself dropped Chivanhu on an AI video this week. The machine did not sneak into Zimbabwean music. We opened the door and crowned it. Now the only question left is what we are actually selling.
